I feel extremely lucky to have had such cooperative birds on Friday. The indigo bunting approached ever so close to me from the gravel path leading to the fields. The green heron actually flew across the pond and on a branch near the road where I was standing in plain sight. Hopefully the remainder of the holiday weekend will be as nice.
