At least a sports stadium is going to get used by the community and be a long-lived asset. It may not generate a positive return but it wonβt be a zero. Building a factory for a start up company that has a highly likelihood of failure seems like an inappropriate use of local public money. If youβre justifying it by the jobs it generates, at least bring in a company with a proven business.
