Once an editor, always an editor.
My definition of an editor is: someone who separates the wheat from the chaff
and publishes the chaff.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Why, the heck, do you use, so many commas?

As the oldest, living airline analyst, we were asked by a friend, why, the
heck, are you spending so much time following the commercial space industry?

Today, the airline industry is the safest, most convenient form of commercial
transportation ever developed by mankind -- but it was not always this way.

It took over 100 years since the Wright Brothers invented the aeroplane for the
airline industry to evolve this way.

The commercial space industry is in its infancy, not dissimilar to the airline
industry’s post-
World War I barnstorming era – neither safe nor convenient.

While there are serious efforts underway to improve both the safety and
convenience of commercial space, it is fraught with frequent mishaps, such as
SpaceX having yet to demonstrate flight and reentry operations with its new
Block 2 Starship after three attempts.

Much like the airline industry revolutionized all aspects of how civilization
on Earth conducts itself, the commercial space industry is revolutionizing our
civilization in the twenty-first century.

In this issue of Heard in the Hangar, we give a brief history of aviation in
the twentieth century then discuss the past, present, and future of the
commercial space industry.

Our favorite Space Race 3.0 ideas, in order, are:

  1. Planet Labs PBC
  2. Rocket Lab Corporation
  3. Northrop Grumman Corporation
  4. L3Harris Technologies

Meanwhile, back on Earth, our favorite global airline ideas, in order, are:

  1. Southwest Airlines
  2. Delta Air Lines
  3. Alaska Air Group
  4. United Airlines Holdings
  5. Volaris
  6. Sun Country Airlines
  7. American Airlines Group
  8. Ryanair Holdings plc.
  9. Frontier Group Holdings

FTAI Aviation is our favorite idea in Aviation Services.

Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation are our favorite ideas in the eVTOL industry.

Archer Aviation raised $850 million following a White House Executive Order to
accelerate U.S. eVTOL rollout, cementing its industry-leading liquidity of $2
billion.

Airline stocks fell sharply after Israel launched a wide-ranging attack on
Iran’s nuclear program and military leadership that threatens major disruptions
to energy markets and economies around the world.

Shares of Boeing and GE Aerospace declined after an Air India Boeing 787-8
carrying 242 people bound for London crashed into a residential area less than
a minute after taking off from western India.

The Boeing 787 had one of the cleanest safety records in commercial aviation,
with no fatal accidents since its debut in 2011.
