Correct. Each scoop actually fed three inlets: a larger, central one which led 
to the heat exchanger on that side, surrounded by two smaller inlets for two 
turbo-compressors.

The Super 70 re-engining with CFM56 engines included two PACKs so the 
turbo-compressor inlets were blocked by the heat-exchanger ducts were retained.

On a Boeing 707, there were usually three turbo-compressors, mounted in the 
engine pylons except for the #1 engine, visible as a distinct wart atop the 
pylons with a hole in the front. Some 707s built for American Airlines and all 
720s lacked the turbo-compressor on the #4 engine.
