Southwest has lost the one thing that made them successful—differentiation 
versus the other guys.  No assigned seating was viewed as a plus by many (not 
me).  And no bag fees were obviously a selling point.   Now they will be like 
the big guys, but without a F class, and no airport lounges which are 
ostensibly designed to attract business traffic.  The simple little airline has 
lost its way.

Lack of assigned seating was one of the things that I didn’t like about them.

I heard that they are also going to start charging for checked bags.
