Mifnetters: John Goglia (GOL-ya) was an NTSB Board member, he & I became friends about 35 years ago in the ARAC days. Several years ago he and a couple other gents started a podcast "*Flight Safety Detectives*". They just passed episode #300. I got a call from John about 2 weeks ago asking me if I wanted to discuss the perceptions of safety. "Sure. When?" I asked. He responded with "NOW". He's like that, and when John says, I do, because he's a pal and the results are always positive. Ten minutes later we were recording.
I stumbled around a bit at first but when we got into the groove it turned out to be a bit of a fun conversation. We drifted into production, the "wild west" of early aviation, how the drone (UAS, UAV, AAM, whatever) industry is going in the same direction and my favorite topic, the 1984 SCOTUS Varig decision. We managed to get a couple plugs in for Kilroy Aviation as well. Check it out if you're having trouble getting to sleep and please feel free to share. You might have some fun scrolling down through their past episodes, I'm sure you'll find some really interesting stuff. - https://flightsafetydetectives.com/digging-into-the-data-on-aviation-risks-episode-304/?utm_source=mailpoet&utm_medium=email&utm_source_platform=mailpoet Borfitz
