It depends on which version of Mifos you are using and what on what page you want the filed. You should not edit the .jsp for specific pages (or any other code you don't plan to submit as a patch), as you risk leaving the upgrade path. In 1.0, you configure additional fields on some pages by making changes to the database. If I am not mistaken you are currently working in 1.1? What pages are you adding fields to and for what purpose? What information are you trying to collect with the new field?
