Hi,

I was looking into caching in MIFOS.

Currently MIFOS uses HashtableCacheProvider class for caching (configured
in hibernate.properties). Can someone shed some light on how it is being
used ?

I was planning to use ehacache with hibernate as it gives more options
(and is the default choice in hibernate).

Will it be possible to move to ehcache from HashtableCacheProvider ?

Any help/comments/suggestions appreciated.

Subject
[Mifos-developer] Caching Strategy in MIFOS

Hi,

I am working on report module of MIFOS. I wanted to know what is the
caching tools/strategies used in MIFOS application.

So if there is a possibility of re-using the caching framework in MIFOS, I
can make the most use of it.

There is ehcache-1.2.3.jar present in MIFOS is not being used, probably
some other(probably hibernate) libraries have dependencies on it.

I am not sure about caching at Hibernate level as it will have affect
application wide.

Any suggestions/comments are most welcome.
