Hi, Naganand. I can give you some information from this very topic
Aliya and I discussed!

Initially, the as-is database will be evaluated-at the current rate,
what is causing the database growth and can it be made more efficient.
After that analysis is complete, we can factor in things like photos
(30KB per record) checklists, and surveys, but first we want to
understand the basic transactions and size relationships. One
photograph/survey/checklist per record is relatively easy to estimate as
they occur less frequently than repayments.

If anyone from the Dublin team would like to chime in-please feel free
to add or correct! :-)

Thanks!

Hi aliya,

I needed a clarification:

1. Is the database growth estimation being done keeping all the
new features which are going to come in 1.1 release. I wanted to know
this because, 1.1 includes surveys and PPI which would be immediately
used in Grameen Koota to record basic data of all clients targeted and
also for gathering the loan utilizations for all loans. This might
affect the growth in size of database to a large extent.

2. Also checklist will be associated with every account. I exactly
don't know if this might effect the growth of db.

I want this information to plan for my future hardware requirements

Regards,

Naganand
