Hi Gbolahan,

We're trying to reduce the instances of people cross-posting a question
to multiple mailing lists-so I'm replying only to mifos-functional. The
mifos-developer list is focused on discussions related to code and
development work. (See: http://tinyurl.com/6gj8ll).

I'm not sure how or why this would create challenges when reconciling
customer accounts. Isn't it standard practice in financial products to
maintain separate loan and savings accounts for clients? Can you
describe why you're having difficulty reconciling accounts?

Yes, right now-- Mifos can only disburse loans to directly to the
customer (via cash or a check). We would need to build a new feature to
allow Mifos to disburse a loan directly into a customer's savings
account. I'll add this feature-request to the product roadmap. The
only work-around for this would be to disburse the loan and then
manually create a deposit into the customer's account for the amount of
the disbursed loan.

Emily.
