Loan and CBU Ledger report: Report Performance is very slow

Currently, when running the Loan and CBU Ledger report, it can take a few
minutes to return on the Pentaho BI Server. As this report is used daily, by
all branches, multiple times we need to look at how we can improve the
performance of this report (especially since there is a good chance this report
may be getting run multiple times)
I have tested this on my local laptop with the report designer and it doesn't
take as long as on the server, but still appears to take 30 seconds+.
The report does not have to respond immediately on the server, but I believe it
should be able to show results within a reasonable amount of time, maybe 10-20
seconds.
