At the time of this writing, the latest stable version is
[2.7.2|http://maven.40175.n5.nabble.com/Maven-Surefire-Plugin-2-7-2-Released-td3357678.html].
In some places we're using 2.4.3, and many (hundreds?!) of bugs have been
fixed since then.
