Currently, the order of loan payments is always the same:
1. Misc
Penalty
is deducted first, then
from 1st installment
2. Penalty from 1st installment
3. Misc
Fees
,
from 1st installment
4. Fees from 1st installment
5.
Interest
and lastly
from 1st installment
6.
Principal
from 1st installment
7
.
Misc Penalty from 2nd installment
8. Penalty from 2nd installment
... etc.
There is a need to add configuration setting which allows to change the default order of payments. However, the only
know
known
use case at the moment is to repay all overdue/current interest before anything else. This means we need to only add a single option
if we want
to choose from
the
following repayment strategies:
- the
old payment order
or we want to
-
always repay overdue interest first
.
