Madhav from hugo already seems to be eager around implementing basic functioanlity needed around creating, updating chart of accounts - see https://github.com/keithwoodlock/mifosx/pull/75
Key to this and all accounting related areas is we dont repeat mistakes/gaps of previous accounting implementation in mifos. For chart of accounts that was mostly:
- Flexibility in being able to change COA at any time (within reason, deleting an account thats being used in the past should not be allowed but I guess there might be a case for 'disabling' it)
Once we settle on the functionality required around Chart of Accounts (COA) we will create schema and begin development on it.
Q1. Is there a need to support more than one Chart of Accounts?
Q2. Do we have an example of the COA used by GK or GK-maarg or Nirantara?
