As a part of last years Google summer of code, soome work was done on templates (user generated documents)
You can find the same in the api docs by searching for teh following text:

Templates
Templates are used for end-user features such as custom user defined document....."
However, there are no links to the same in the docs.
Firstly
1) add links under Org section for the same.
2) The entire functionality is called as templates in the documentation (which makes it confusing, since we also have a separate section called "templates" which refers to templates for creating entities like clients, loans etc). Update the documentation to refer to the newly developed functionality as "User Generated Documents" rather than templates to avoid this confusion
