Also Mifos does save data like payments, financial transactions real time so if you are trying to close your books at the end of day, you can just grab the data you need at that time and it will have an accurate picture of what has been submitted that day.

We do have batch jobs that are scheduled to run at midnight by default (you can change the time it runs if necessary). There is no display in Mifos to show when they batch jobs were last run, but the data is in the database so you could build a report to poll that information easily enough.
