After years of trying to educate my customers that if you give the satellite
TV installer your WiFi password and they show you their new broadband
channel lineup, you should ask the question how much data will this take.
We all know that answer..A shit ton!

After years of many "taboo "conversations with WISP operators and billing
system designers, I know of several WISPs that are traffic shaping their
streamers. So that I'm not reinventing the wheel, who has figured out the
best ways to traffic shape streamers to 1.5 Megs of download speed? I have
tested 1.5 Megs at home and the picture quality is very nice.

Yes, I will make my network streaming policy very clear to my users, as I
have never claimed to be the movie channel.

I'm on the daily digest email list.

Thanks to all and I hope all of us network administrators get some time off
for the holidays.
