Tommy,
I've read both of their books and I wasn't expecting to find any
manuals. I'm just researching what other users have found and solutions
they have that worked for them. Anything in the public-domain. I too
am looking at moving to Cambium, but I can't afford to move all at once
as I don't have access to that kind of money. I would have to replace
200 radios, almost 2 dozen towers and APs. I'll have to do it 1 AP at a
time. I recently bought one AP and 10 radios to do exactly that. I
have a very limited budget to work with and cannot afford mistakes.
I appreciate your tips, thank you.

Short answer is NO. There is no cross-platform integration
step-by-step manuals. Depending on what your network looks like it is
easy to build out from tower to tower, we have a routed network using
private IP addresses. We do not use UBNT equipment any longer, but
rather Cambium ePMP.
We put a /24 on the Mikrotik router for the AP’s and either bridge or
use the switch chip to combine the ports to the router the AP’s are
plugged into. The backhaul is on a separate IP subnet in a /29. If
you need a Public IP address for a customer, we put a /30 on the
router, this gives the customer an IP and a gateway. The magic is the
OSPF making everything route.
There are various consultants who could set up and scenario like
this. Once you get the basic setup, all you do is replicate it down
the line. Dennis Burgess or Steve Discher are two of the most
reputable in our industry. Both will document everything you need.
There are others of us who could do this for you for less money, but
in the long run, they will get you going in the correct direction and
give you a foundation to build on.

Jan,
We started with a consultant building a small network in Florida that
is now up to 17 nodes. The consultant we used was a little slow but
provided great documentation and got us well on our way. Since then we
have expanded into 2 other cities all of which has been done in house.
Feel free to re3ach out off-list and I can provide our consultant as
well as give you some experiences we have had using Ubiquiti, Netonix
and our distributors.

I thought I was being fairly specific about my question. I don't want
to go "off-list", because then the answers help no one else and
defeats the main purpose of this membership-fee mail-list users
group. I'm very sick-n-tired of dumping $money$ down endless
rabbit-holes of manufacturer reps/products/consultants for answers
which could be in public-domain if only they could be found. Maybe
there is another user-group I should pay-for instead?
_I'm looking for articles written by users of Mikrotik and Ubiquiti._
Mikrotik usage is buried in obfuscation of language and translation
where down seems to be up and details are often somewhere in-between
vs what is written in the RTFM!. Ubiquiti doesn't want to go outside
of their own product line in any discussion. And, I don't want to get
trapped into using a specific vendor for obvious reasons.
Should I continue with hiring consultants who promise documentation
that never come? And which ones actually do, they all promise, none
deliver. Should I pour $$ into manufacturers to then find out I can't
do what is needed because I followed their advice and bought the wrong
gear? Been down this street too!
OK, so I'm venting
