I had a customer that was configured with an IP. I wanted to move them to DHCP. I disabled the IP and added the dhcp-client. The dhcp-server has leases for each customer and I made the same IP address on the lease as what IP was disabled.
The dhcp-client says "error" until you remove the IP address. Disabled or not, it will not work until you remove the IP. Mikrotik rules for having layer2 connectivity!!!
