That is not what I am after, but it is a nice feature. What I have is
a number of networks that are non trivial to reach (some I have never
been to in person). We send a router out to them and manage it. Some
of the sites have users who should not be allowed anyplace near the
network, but that is not my call to make. Some have taken to using the
reset button. This cause's a service disruption and generates a
service call.

What I would like to do it setup a default config that, at the very
least, can do a dhcp client on one port and pptp back to me. Then I
can manually finish off the rest of the config or 'hard code' it.
These are very simple configs in soho/resi/portal setups, so dhcp
client WAN, dhcp server LAN with a custom ip range and a few port
forwards. I hate to, but a open-wrt capable unit might be the
solution.
