I forgot to mention this was for the older 112 and 133C boards. On a 411 you don't need to worry about disabling packages.

Upgrade FW. 2. Reboot 3. Disable all packages other than what has to be there. 4. Reboot 5. Upload 3.0 6. Reboot 7. Update license and Upgrade FW if it needs it 8. Reboot 9. Upload 4.16 10. Reboot 11. Check FW and license again and update if needed 12. Reboot if either needed upgraded 13. Check to make sure I don't have noise floor threshold or custom data rates set, If you do disable noise floor threshold and set default rates. 14. Upload 5.4 15. Reboot 16. Change wireless mode to whatever mode you want. If it is a client set it to "any" if it is an AP set it to the mode you want to run. All of my infrastructure is at 3.30. I have upgraded licenses so everything has the new style and will support version 5.x The last question is, am I going to have any configuration problems going directly from 3.30 to 5.4; do I need to move to 4.x and then go to 5.4? -- Scott Reed Owner NewWays Networking, LLC Wireless Networking Network Design, Installation and Administration Mikrotik Advanced Certified www.nwwnet.net (765) 855-1060 (765) 439-4253 (855) 231-6239 _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS
