I guess in the project that I'm looking at this spring, MPLS would work out 
fairly well other than the underlying IP network to support MPLS. That would 
accelerate all but management and supporting traffic.

I doubt it.  I doubt the baltic box (or any other x86 based router) will
support the fast path being added to the CCR (well, routeros anyway).
