So, is the reconnected VPN using a dynamic interface since the server end still 
thinks the old connection is live? The most annoying MikroTik VPN feature. 

I wonder if you could setup a bridge for each connection and have the profile 
join the bridge. I don't know if that would work.

You could schedule a script to run often, maybe on VPN connect,  which checks 
what interface the IP is on and changes the ospf interface to use the new VPN 
interface.  It would be a heck of a kludge.
