You could have your providers do BGP for you and route the IPs. If you ever wanted to tune them, obviously that would be off the table.
As far as a backup provider using BGP, did anyone mention have the backup provider sending just a default route. This is basically just for outgoing traffic, and prepending for the incoming traffic.
