Microsoft Enemy Number One Quits His Job ======================================== Joel Klein, the Justice Department antitrust chief who's been Micro- soft's Nemesis and been wanting to break Microsoft in two, has quit his job yesterday. Klein has been the one driving the effort to limit the MS expansion and the motor of the whole court case. This is actually the second top prosecutor that leaves the MS case. The Justice Department also hired an independent council that had the job to make MS' life difficult in court, but Boies is not going to do anything in the coming appeal. Klein is going to take off for a while and then hunt for a new job. I wonder what fire truck he's going to chase now. MS had no comment but I'm sure they like it.
