Ioan Eugen Stan commented on MIME4J-98:
---------------------------------------

Some conclusions after discussion on the mailing list:

- adding an extra dependency is not good
- an optional module that uses JodaTime to decode MIME fields with dates would
be a plus, although java.util.Date is to be used in Message interface

- extra: Message and other DOM interfaces implementations could be made
immutable - this will help in thread safety.

> java.util.Date is widely used but is not particularly well suited to protocol
> work and parsing can be slow. Consider switching to something more suitable.
