Well I kind of answered my own question - I can get Unix::Syslog to 
install if I just ignore the make test errors. I'm hoping that these 
errors are just "doesn't apply to Solaris" types of errors.

So I installed it and then re-installed MIMEDefang and it appears to be 
working.

Should I be afraid?
