We are trying to install MIMEDefang 2.43 and are having problems. Our configuration is Sendmail 3.1.5 (commercial version) running on a Solaris 8 operating system. Compiled MIMEDefang with Sendmail 8.12.11 on Solaris 8. Then transferred the compiled Perl modules and mimedefang files to the Sendmail 3.1.5 commercial system. Was informed would be unable to configure MIMEDefang correctly unless using the open source version. We were able to successfully start MIMEDefang and Sendmail initially however, subsequent restart attempts have been unsuccessful. When MIMEDefang is loaded the error "MXcommand: connect: socket operation on non-socket" is received. Permissions on the MIMEDefang directory are set at 750.
