Well, besides being completely off-topic for this list, you should set speed and duplex to AUTO if available.

Unless you have a 100Mbs SWITCH (not hub, there's a difference) to plug it into, manually setting the duplex to full will gain you nothing and possibly wreak havoc on
the network.

For the next time though, you might want to ask your network administrator.

If you ARE the network administrator, may I recommend finding a book on the OSI
protocol
stack that discusses ethernet (switched and shared) in depth.

Hopefully that answers your question,

mimedefang list

I have inherited a mimedefang server to administer.

The interface card is set to 100Mb half duplex (see below)

Should I change the setting to 100Mb full duplex?

The server is performing OK with the existing settings.
I wonder if I'll break it if I change the duplex setting.

Settings for eth0:
Supported ports: [ TP MII ]
Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full Supports auto-negotiation: Yes Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes
