WOOHOO! Rock on dude! Sendmail didn't like option two so I changed the ownership of the /var/run/clamav directory and ran clamd as defang and that fixed us right up!

Thanks again,

Stephen

Clamd does not have read access inside that directory. There
are a couple of ways to fix it:

1) Run clamd as the "defang" user instead of "clamav"

2) Add "clamav" to the "defang" group (if there is one) and make
/var/spool/MIMEDefang's group "defang" and make it group-readable and
group-executable.
