I didn't try to put the installation anywhere except /usr/mwxx or in /home/user/mwxx because that's where user installations are usually done.
I hadn't seen anything on the permissions problem. I'll try installing the bleeding edge cross-compilers in /usr/mwbexx the next time I download a later build, and if the permissions problem has gone away I'll simplify the wiki page. Thanks for the comments, and the heads-up about the permissions change. Can you put a note that users shouldn't install it to high up in the directory hierarchy? eg using /opt will fail, but /opt/foo works fine. Regarding the permission problems, I thought it had been fixed recently, maybe I am mistaken, could you check? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (MingW32) iEYEARECAAYFAk16wpEACgkQp56AKe10wHf97QCZAZWxTwu6JtnK943Eq/IkAQqR 8SEAn21JtUJNizjOePA2g+ccBSQPFJT8 =KHFw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ Mingw-w64-public mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mingw-w64-public
