Sorry for the long delay in replying here. I don't know anything about
this project myself, but I asked around about it and the consensus was:
1) the project is still a good idea
2) the people I asked don't have time to shepherd contributions but are
keen to see someone working in this area

Unfortunately I don't have much more to offer.
