David, Thank you. I see that Thomas made some comments already. Also, you are probably aware that you will have to submit a PDF for the final application (by April 3rd). I would suggest to add a link to the life google doc at the top as the PDF likely won't be editable post the 3rd. I am not quite sure how the UI for https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com <https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/> looks on your side: google constantly changed the old system and I expect is doing the same for the new one. The google doc should have the same content as the PDF at the deadline. You can then use the life document, to track/record changes, make modifications if there are unforeseen circumstances, add lessons learned, strike through work items that have been completed (and/or link to commits, pull requests, ...), etc. You can use it as a life document to track progress. That helps you and your mentor.
