As just discussed on IRC, that's not doable right now: it is not implemented in 
MirrorBrain to function as a file-serving mirror as well. It's doable by 
setting up a separate vhost, but that seems like a bit of a kludge, and the 
vhost would need a scan (which seems silly); but that would do what you want.

That's due to the above.

When you add new files locally, they are immediately being served directly from 
the MirrorBrain server. As soon as a mirror becomes known (when it have synced 
and after it has been scanned), MirrorBrain switches its behaviour: it 
redirects to that mirror(s), and no longer serves from local.


It would seem very useful to employ the MirrorBrain server also for sending 
files directly. After discussing on IRC a little bit with you about that, I 
have now written down this feature idea:
