Greetings, I wonder if you use /etc/passwd, how opensmtpd would know what the password hashes are, since /etc/passwd doesn't contain any hashes. I think I tried using /etc/master.passwd at one point but the default file permissions would not let opensmtpd open it.
In any case, I found out auth alone without any <tables> would by default use the password files. Thanks for the help though! -- jrmu IRCNow (https://ircnow.org)
