According to MS' Knowledgebase [1], Win2K is the first OS to support option 33. Also, the static-routes option is classful (and thus rather old fashioned). Classful means that the choice of the destination implies the netmask. RFC3442 [2] has more info on an option implementing classless routing (option 121), but I do not believe it is a standard just yet. Your mileage may vary as you may end up with a /32 route. Perhaps pushing group policies and/or login scripts may prove a better option in such a case. Rogier References: 1.
