(Yes, TI, not intel as I managed to say earlier.) The message you are
getting indicates that you have an atheros based card, but it needs a
correct country code.

and see if it helps. patching in a valid country code as specified
("no" in my case) helped getting my DWL-AG520 from

- that is, working condition. 

I have a G520 lying around (it resurfaced while unpacking - we moved
recently before I'd gotten around to putting it in a machine), so
there's a chance I can get around to testing it within the next few
days.
