<SNIP> Hmmm....worked like a champ here (using 3.6-STABLE, firefox and xpdf from ports). You need to tools-options-downloads, and tell firefox to open files with .pdf extension with xpdf (or whatever viewer you prefer). Thanks again Jason! A
