mpg123 has an option to resample on-the-fly, but this is still a nasty kludge. There's a similar problem with auvia(4) where rates other than 48kHz have bad static in the playback (unless somebody fixed this bug recently). Perhaps some bugs should be filed against auich and auvia (assuming they haven't been already)? -Andrew
