Hi all,

I've just got a problem with my DSL modem which worked fine for more than a yeah. It stopped responding, to ping etc.
Firstly it was:

azazel ~ # ping 80.53.109.249
PING 80.53.109.249 (80.53.109.249): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: No buffer space available
ping: wrote 80.53.109.249 64 chars, ret=-1

I've got second internet link and it worked all fine, I've set http traffic on it, googled and fount sth about mbufs issue but everything seemed to be fine:

azazel ~ # netstat -m
296 mbufs in use:
       228 mbufs allocated to data
24 mbufs allocated to packet headers
44 mbufs allocated to socket names and addresses
214/322/6144 mbuf clusters in use (current/peak/max)
756 Kbytes allocated to network (66% in use)
0 requests for memory denied
0 requests for memory delayed
0 calls to protocol drain routines

Then error message changed to:
azazel ~ # ping 80.53.109.249
PING 80.53.109.249 (80.53.109.249): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: Host is down
ping: wrote 80.53.109.249 64 chars, ret=-1

xl1 link was up all the time (media type ok), I have restarted modem, checked cables, put xl1 down and up, nothing.

Then suddenly modem started to respond and I noticed thi::
xl1: watchdog timeout

I have read man watchdog but even then I don't know how it's related to my xl1 link. Could someone explain me? Maybe my modem just died and those timeout are because NIC could'nt deliver packets?
Or maybe a hardware issue with that xl1 card?
I have no idea.

PS. bsd.mp doesn't work on this server (HP NetServer LH II P2/300mhz) it's sth with adaptec/ami timeouts/panics/hang etc. but I will wait for 3.8 with reporting this issue)

Cheers,
