for some of my remote customers, as well as my own office, i'm looking for an
out-of-band management solution that's cheaper than iLO or DRAC. remote power
management would be nice, but network KVM is a must. i read about intel vpro /
amt recently and just started looking into it; it seems to be baked into most
of their q-series chipsets.

has anyone here successfully used the intel solution for KVM or anything else?
how about unsuccessfully? having something baked into the chipset makes me
worry about compatibility with openbsd, as i'm not sure just how
transparent/non-invasive it is.

reports either way would be appreciated - as would another usable solution.
