Ok, I've replaced the Ralink card with a Wistron Neweb DCMA-81, an
Atheros-basec wireless NIC:

I'm still having the same issue, however it now doesn't trigger an
interrupt storm. I have another system I can try; I'll give that a run
tomorrow evening.
