I had the same issue today after installing the snapshot from Feb 1. Looks like a "label" in the url is now required and used as lookup key in the secrets map. # /etc/mail/smtpd.conf: listen on lo0 table aliases db:/etc/mail/aliases.db table secrets file:/etc/mail/secrets accept for local alias <aliases> deliver to mbox accept for any relay via smtps+auth://b...@typhoon.relo.ch auth \ <secrets> # /etc/mail/secrets blue user:pass I would prefere if just the host or a combination of user and host would be used for password lookup and not a label.
