Assuming you have the ykpers package installed, this tool by yours
truly might come in handy:

No man page yet. Try

     # ykinit -<slot> -v -t <username>

The test (-t) will fail until you've added the appropriate auth* parts
to login.conf.

Correction, it should not fail, since it uses libexec/login_yubikey directly. Ordinary login may still fail though.
