dmesg from a box that was en route to becoming a FreeNAS system. Everything I cared about as far as networking and disk management worked with one issue. smartctl was uneven about whether it get could get stats from the disks connected throught the LSI (mpii0).

The first two requests would work. Usually the third and subsequent would fail. Disk r/w operations would continue to work without issue.
