I have been searching for a while for a fanless motherboard to use as my OpenBSD workstation with reasonable performance.
Currently, I am using an ASUS J800IC (dmesg below). The one thing I am missing is an mSATA slot which I could use for an mSATA SSD to install the system on, so that the two SATA connctors are left for two data disks. (I have given up trying to make any of the "miniPCIe SSD"s work - apparently, they are intended for laptops, and the miniPCIe slot needs to have a special wiring for those "disks" to work there. Hence the desire for true mSATA). The board should be a mini-ITX form factor so that I can use it in this enclosure that I like. http://www.mini-box.com/M350S-enclosure-with-picoPSU-80-and-60W-adapter Needless to say, it should support OpenBSD well. (With the current board, the kind developers helped me much by fixing the Intel Bay Trail Video support.) Is anyone using such a configuration?
