nobody commented on it. the lifecycle of this entire conversation has gone something like: whiners demand cgd without explanation. after a bit, we identify something that could be improved. i post a patch. silence. whiners demand cgd without explanation. i don't believe that the people asking for cgd really even intend to use it. they are certainly not capable of actually evaluating their needs. it doesn't matter what the solution is; if it's not spelled cgd they won't be happy. the absurdity of it all amazes me. like maybe if you post an interview with roland
