I know it's EOL but Snorby (https://github.com/Snorby/snorby) for example only 
works with Ruby 1.9.3.

And by the way Ruby 1.8.7 is EOL since even longer (2013) but it is still in 
the packages of OpenBSD...

Ruby 1.9 has been end of life for quite a while.
