After reading https://marc.info/?t=141731697900001&r=1&w=2 (and other articles) I thought maybe the advice provided was no longer as relevant as it once was, and that this advice would require maintenance in two separate documents. However, after continued reading on the topic, maybe it is still strong advice that will stand the test of time, good information for new users, and consistent enough across both manual pages.
