I forgot to say that the same problem, also beginning on 30 April, was discussed on openbsd-bugs@. The suggestion there was that it was only occurring on one laptop, but clearly that isn't the case since I have it too. See http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-bugs&m=145979568820455&w=2.
